Bedru stood and waited for Ael before exiting the restaurant.  She kept the
conversation casual until they reached the point where Bedru's route would take
her to Watson's suite of offices.

Then, she said quietly, knowing that the Romulan's hearing would pick it up.
"Perhaps there are those who wish to engage the Cardassians, Ambassador, but
this is not a direction desired by all.  It will be interesting to see what
happens."
 
Ael allowed her eyebrows to knit in confusion, and perhaps in disappointment.  "I feel safe in saying," she said, nearly as quietly, "that engagement was not the motive.  Justice for the one unfairly imprisoned is the more likely motive."  With that , she left the admiral.  The human would either believe her, or she wouldn't.  Nothing further could be done to convince her.
