By examining the clan badges, Tr'Lawsh could see that they had some connection
to the Clans of Cait. However, it was a distant connection. The depictions
indicated that they thought of them selves as a sub clan, a distinct entity
within the overall clan. It was not clear if they would recognize the authority
of Clan leadership from Cait, or what influence they would have, if any. But
itwas clear that they had some idea of their origins, if only a vague idea. The
images on the medallion were similar to that of the clan badges. The dieties
dipicted were familiar, but not exact. The emphasis of certain gods over others
was the most striking element. The gods of hunt and war were more prominent
than all others.
Daphne was amazed with the beauty of the weapons and badges. She did not have the background do understand the symbolism found in the shapes and images, but she did appreciate that they incorporated art into their regular lives. She looked to Tr'Lawsh to see the Captain's response.
She looked up to see the human's expression. "Beautiful, yesss? They may no longerrr be Caitian, but they rrrememberr the love of arrrt, the combination of forrrm and function." She seemed glad in a melancholy way.
