Kit went back to her quarters and prepared a message to send to the Caitian government, requesting permission to bring the prisoners to Cait under Starfleet guard and explaining all the reasons she felt this was a useful and necessary event. She sent it off and changed into one of the long, flowing robes of her people. This one was grass green with trim in robin's egg blue and soft yellow. Her people loved bright colors and it suited her golden fur. She strapped a knife to her thigh beneath her robe - one couldn't be too safe. There would be a lot of security, but you just never knew.

Unshod as always, she picked up the gift, two bottles of Caitian wine, renowned across the galaxy. These two bottles, one red, the other white, were both from the Grranthal vineyard. The red was about fifteen years old, and the white, twelve. They were both vintages that had won intergalactic awards, and were served only on Cait and only for great celebrations. She had kept them among her things, as she had invested in them in hopes of a day she would drink them, but she had little to celebrate in her life of late, and she did not expect things to get better. Matt would certainly appreciate them, and she hoped Carrhae would as well.

Picking up her security detachment, she felt extremely out of place in her civilian attire. But she used them to good purpose - she had them carry the wine.

She beamed to the location Carrhae had given her. She was overwhelmed by the scent of clean air, lush plants, and sea breezes. She stood for a moment savoring them, relishing the moment away from canned recirculated air. it had been too long.

(knock, knock)
