"I was thinking of speaking with the Cardassians. They were more deeply
involved with the Dominion War than just about anyone." "What do you think, Sam?" Jaime asked. "After all, you know more about the aliens here than I do." "That would seem like a reasonable option. Since we have to check out all the Council members, it is more a matter of what order to investigate them," jumped in Sam as he swallowed down a big bite of his own meal. "So, while Chase is visiting the Cardies, any suggestions on who we try next?" Jaime asked. Chase thought about the remaining members. Somehow, he doubted the Klingons and the Romulans would be resistant to talking about art. "Have you considered talking with the Venasians. I bet they would have a strong artistic past, and we need to learn as much about them as possible. They have tricked our government into supplying them with a world." The Venasians were not a group that Sam was in any rush to deal with. They were mysterious and seemed to have a knowing of things that went far beyond any sort of telepathy. "To be honest, we had not had a chance to talk about it before you arrived." He glanced to Jaime. "Do you have a preference?" (Jaime?)
"By the by, did Richard tell either of you guys how we get information to him? He didn't tell me." "He had mentioned that Sarah would be coming up to the station to visit every other day. She could play courier with whatever information we need to pass along," replied Chase. "She can come up sooner if we need her to. Since she and I are involved, it would seem like she is just visitng me while I am doing research." Sam just nodded. That made sense to him. Perhaps it was a little more complex than necessary, but considering Richard's paranoia, it was at least a secure method. "Okay. I'm start putting my notes from today together so she can take them when she gets here. If Richard doesn't like what I tell him, he'll just have to say so." Chase just smiled. He could only imagine how Richard would have reacted to such a statement with his temper. He took a sip of his water before continuing. "It would seem that we are ready to continue, then." "Are we planning on starting up again this evening or should we wait until tomorrow morning?" asked Sam. Though he was the eldest of the group, he had his doubts that students were big on doing heavy research in the evening on their first day on "vacation." (anyone?)
