>The officer of the watch granted them permission to go  aboard.

Tr'Lawsh and Daphne headed to the brig.  Once there,  Tr'Lawsh began
searching the cells the prisoners had been in.  "Look  forrr any place they
might have ssstashed sssomething they might not want to  be found."  She
started looking behind the toilet, under the sink, in  any crevice something
could have been hidden.

Daphne nodded as she  turned to shift the mattresses to see if there was
anything under any of  them.

Daphne found nothing in the first cell she searched.  However, the second proved different.  A small communications device was found under a mattress.  A quick examination of the device revealed that it was similar in use as a standard Starfleet communicator.  It had several preset frequencies and encryption levels.  Obviously, it was not the most advanced levels of encryption possible, after all, it was a field communicator, but it could prove useful in deciphering their codes.

Daphne made her way to find her Caitian companion.  While she walked she tried to see if their were any messages saved on the communications device.

(anything?)

Tr'Lawsh, likewise, came up empty in the first cell she searched, but found something in the next.  What appeared to be a hand held scanner, a very small one.
