Knucklebiter sniffed a few times and could not find any smells he could not
account for, and turned back. "It's all clear, can they hang on to me or do they
need to be carried?"
"They probably can," Hilda responded, "I'll stay with them and help them along." After the doctor's report, Aravis assumed they were strong enough to be able to hold on. "I think they can help with the carrying," replied the team leader before turning to the rest of the group. "Let's get back to the runabout folks." "Gladly," the doctor said under her breath. No matter how much training and scenarios Starfleet gave her, it never quite compared to really being in a combat situation. She packed up her equipment and followed them out. Knucklebitter looked about the room quickly and saw several webbing cargo belts, and quickly buckled three together. He then removed his pack and strapped it to his chest, turned to the two scientist and said "Reach for the sky partners." The two scientists looked at each other in surprise. They were
exhausted and thrilled to be recovered, but it was clear that neither was sure
about grabbing on to what appeared to be a bear, but they knew it was the
fastest way to safety. They raised their arms.
Knucklebiter looped the belts around them before turning and hoisting them easily on his back. "Hang on, it may be a bumpy ride." The two nodded toward him as they entwined their hands in the belts and his
fur.
