He then removed his pack and strapped it to his chest, turned to the two
scientist and said "Reach for the sky partners." The two scientists looked at each other in surprise. They were exhausted and thrilled to be recovered, but it was clear that neither was sure about grabbing on to what appeared to be a bear, but they knew it was the fastest way to safety. They raised their arms. Knucklebiter looped the belts around them before turning and hoisting them easily on his back. "Hang on, it may be a bumpy ride." The two nodded toward him as they entwined their hands in the belts and his fur. "That's great, " Hilda said skeptically, "Just don't drop them. What are you going to do?" "Uhh, get to the door and run like Hell. Any better plans? he replied. Aravis glanced at the rest of the team. "OK, folks, lets head back to the runabout. When we get their, Doctor, I would like you to take Mr. Ares and Ms. Howser to the back and give them a thorough going over." She started down the hall covering the entrances to avoid surprises. Just as the team, started moving down the hall, there was a screech of metal coming from the far end as the door that Knucklebiter locked down was torn back. A number of humans ran out and started firing at the team. Lt Morris was hit immediately and went down. Aravis turned and pulled her phaser to return fire. She quickly took out two of the enemy. "Get the scientists back to the runabout, Mr. Knucklbiter. We'll be along in a moment." (response?) The Security Officer continued to return fire, but pulled Mr. Morris and the rest of the team into one of the rooms for cover. The owners of the facility continued to move down the corridor. It seemed the team was trapped in the room. (folks?)
