Aravis turned and pulled her phaser to return fire. She quickly

two of the enemy. "Get the scientists Mr. Knucklbiter. We'll be along in a moment." With the scientists attached to Knucklebiter, Hilda had taken the "save my own skin" approach and dove for cover. Her "get us out of here!" was lost in the firefight. The Security Officer continued to return fire, but pulled Mr. Morris and the rest of the team into one of the rooms for cover. The owners of the facility continued to move down the corridor. It seemed the team was trapped in the room. Aravis leaned back into the room and pressed the controls for the door and secured it with the lock. She used her phaser to take out the controls. "Hopefully, that will keep them busy for awhile. Folks, check out this room to see if you can get another way out." Perry was unconscious so there was little he could do to check out the room, but McTiernan started moving crates along the edges of the room to see if there was another entrance. A moment later, things got pretty quiet behind Aravis. "Ummm...Lieutenant, I think you should come take a look at this." Aravis made her way over to McTiernan. "What is it, Commander?" Upon her approach, Aravis found Station Kerry's CO standing next to a case that was open. Inside was some sort of storage mechanism with a glass door. It was a immediately clear from what was inside, that the device was some sort of cryogenic freezer. Looking back at her through the glass was a young woman. Aravis ran her hand over the glass in amazement and wondered why this woman was being held in the storage space. Only the woman's face was evident through the glass, which revealed what appeared to be an elf from classic fantasy. Her eyes were closed, but appeared to be framed by long dark eyelashes. She had pointed ears and medium brown hair the went lower than the glass extended. She almost appeared to be asleep. As the team spread out through the room, Aravis tapped her comm badge. "Holt to Knucklebiter. I think we are going to need some help getting out of here. Can you get a reading on us with the transporter sensors?" (KB?) Hilda went to Perry to check him out and try to revive him. Other than minor phaser burns, there was not damage. Fortunately, the crazies were firing on a stun level. Perry started to come to as Hilda administered some basic techniques. She administered a hypo to help the process and stabilize the shock of coming out of sudden unconsciousness. "You were only out a few seconds." she told him. Perry sat up slightly, and swayed as dizziness over took him.
"Thanks, Doc," he said as he pulled his hand up to his head to support it.
Just then, the owners of the facility broke through the secured door and
began firing.
From across the room, the doctor could hear the team leader. "Doctor, I think we could use your assistance over here." Hilda looked up incredulously, a phaser bolt narrowly missing her head. They wanted her to make it over *there*??? Gritting her teeth and taking a deep breath, she looked around the corner cautiously, and when there seemed to be a slight lull, she dove across the empty space. Phaser fire erupted around her, but somehow she miraculously escaped a hit. Squirming the rest of the way on her belly, she said loudly, "What's wrong?" Aravis extended a hand to the cryogenic unit. "It seems that our
scientists
were not the only people being held by these people. Is there any way we can get her ready to move easily and quickly?" (response?) AJ
