Lasiter gave Matt a good firm handshake and a congratulations.
Matt accepted teh handshake and squeezed Sam's shoulder. "Thank you," he said, "for honoring us with your presence."
"The honor is mine, Good Doctor. It is not everyday that I am asked to be a best man.", he said seemingly enjoying himself.
"Thank you for coming, Samuel," Carrhae said simply.
"I am happy to be here, and take part in the ceremony.", he said looking much better than he did earlier in the day.
While she was pleased that he was here and appeared to be handling the ceremony
well, Carrhae noticed Lasiter's distance and the formality of his reply.
Hardly the reaction of an old friend. She nodded her acceptance and turned to
accept her grandfather's embrace.

outside. She said to the security chief in a crisp voice that seemed so incongruous with her garb, "Status, Major."
"Someone breeched security. We are serching the rest fo the grounds to be sure that only one made the mistake of entering. The intruder is in custody at present, and additional security has been called for. Lt. Phillips doesn't think this individual is a serious professional hitter, so I've also called in the FBI. In the event that he is a civilian, they would have more teeth in a prosecution than we would. If all is well, I'll know it in about 10 minutes top, ma'am. I'm sorry to have allowed this on this day of all others.", Turner answered professionally, yet truely aorry for the bad taste that this caused.
"Very well. Do you need additional information about security measures available for the house?"
