> "Special Agent Tanaka, Major Turner...", said one of the field

> Tanaka returned his attention to the reporter, "Would that craft be yours?"
> Not really waiting for the answer, "Track down it's registry and it's

Roach caught his breath. That was *his* shuttle, not the bureau's. Plus, he
knew what they would find inside.
*If* the transmission got through, the editor would have had time by now to
authenticate it and relay it for clearance through the publisher. Something
this hot would have to go through the publisher before it was released.
He had to stall them a little longer.
"You need a search warrant first," he finally said.
"That's true. However, if you deviated form your flight plan even in the
slightest, failed to adhere to communications regulations, have any outstanding
violations that will give us enough to convince a judge to give us a warrent.
And if your vehicle is impounded, like when your get arrested, we have the
right to enter your vehicle to inventory the contents upon impound to ensure
that nothing is stolen from it while it sits in the impound yard.", Tanaka
answered smiling.
"Secure the vehicle, and make sure no one enters. When the tug arrives, see to
it that it gets to the FBI impound yard without a scratch. As soon as it
arrives, get it inventoried.", Turner ordered.
The order was confirmed by Tanaka with a nod of his head.
"Special Agent Tanaka, I appreciate your assistance in this matter. However, I
would like to get him out of here asap.", Turner said politely.
"For security reasons of course.", Tanaka answered in jest.
"Naturally.", answered the Marine in kind.
"Not a problem..."
Tanaka and Turner chatted about the arrest of the intruder for a few more
moments until they were interrupted by another of the SF Security officers on
the scene.
"Major, a Starfleet tug will be here in 5 minutes to tow the craft to the FBI
impound yard."
"Thank you."
"I've also been asked to tell you that the ID check on the suspect came back
positive from the Starfleet databases. He is a reporter, if I can use the term
loosley. He registered for press credentials on Spacedock a few months ago.
His name is Delbert Roach. Station security regrets the delay in getting this
information to you. They assumed that you had a sentient being in custody, not
an insect, Sir.", continued the security officer.
"Mind your manners, petty officer.", rebuffed Turner.
"Yes, sir. I'm sorry sir."
"Carry on."
With that the officer left. Tanaka and Turner turned their hard gaze on the
Roach...
"So..., Mr. Roach. Please explain what you are doing here, before we have you
taken downtown, as they say?"
