"Not a thing," she replied. She looked around. "Where's Captain Boulay?"
The strange way she asked the question seemed to suggest that she was only
asking out of obligation.
"I believe he is aboard that station. He had some things he said he needed
to get done." K'Tael paused for a moment before continuing. "I believe his
office will likely notify him of the meeting so he should be on time." It
was clear to the Klingon that she probably could have lived without his
presence.
"I hope you do not mind my asking, but have you and the Captain worked
together previously? It seems that there is some tension between the two of
you," The Klingon asked the question as they headed toward the transporter
room.
Wilson studied the Klingon for several seconds. Although she had thus
far found
Boulay a useless part of the team who had now disappeared without
fulfilling his
assigned responsibility, she had no reason to share this with K'Tael. "I have
never worked with the captain before, nor am I aware of any tension between
us," came her politically correct response.
