Once free of the diplomatic reception, Lasiter headed straight to the office he once used on station. It would be a good refuge while waiting for General A'amon to finish mingling with the other diplomats. He ran through the events at the reception, expecially the being introduced as Celana D'amondra. It bugged Samuel that A'amon would have the gall to bring her here. It showed just how confident the man was. However, as much as the presence of the clone annoyed Samuel Lasiter, the actions of the new T'remea baffled him. She did not see to be a strict follower of A'amon, even though she belonged to the upper level house... He would most definately have to get to know her.
Running through the events of the reception made Lasiter more annoyed. Annoyed that while A'amon was doing as he pleased without fear of repriasal, he had to work in the shadows. Of course, Tal A'amon had seized power, and Lasiter was working within the system to make it better.... no matter it still was a sore topic. All this thinking about the good General made the CinC come to one conclusion- it was time for him to start to act. He sent orders to his friend RADM Jared Jackson to press ahead with all do haste on the investigation into the assult and interrogation of Captain Boulay, and the police action that the Captain was looking into. Captain David Boulay was also ordered to accompany Jackson, and to assist, where approperiate, in both inqueries. The inquery was now official, and Lasiter wanted a preliminary report in his hands when he got back from leave. Commander Joanna Kirk was also to be detailed to RADM Jackson, if for no other reason than to look after David should be have a break down. While ordering CMDR Kirk technically broke the chain of command, and would probably annoy Dr. Brennan and Lorin Renaud, he didn't care. Afterall, what good is being the CinC of Starfleet if you can't give orders, right. If there were bruised egos or feelings, Lasiter would make it up to them when he got back. Maybe... Speaking of Brennan... Lasiter officially sent orders to ADMs Brennan and Bedru that they are to attend the Conference on that is to be held on Nirendra IV. The point behind attending the conference is not necessarily to attend, but to drawl out those that have been kidnapping SF officers, and the assassin that attepted to remove Admiral t'Llhweiir's soul from her body.... Brennan would be in charge of the mission, so to speak, and they are to leave this evening if at all possible. Quite security arrangementes have been made....... The ship carrying them is the USS Hampton Roads. Orders also went out to VADM Kitanya to get all available information on the Felinid situation, and be ready to brief him on their trip ti Cait to burry M'Rrenn. He had not been too involved in that particular project, and it was time he got up to speed. That and they would need something to talk about on the way.... The last thing he did was sent a note to Admiral t'Llhweiir. Samuel told her that he would like to have a short list of candidates ready to interview for the Chief of Staff position that she will filling on an interim basis. She was needed in Intell, and the double duty for her was not helping either of them.... This wold suffice for now. When he returned it would be time for bigger, bolder action. tbc...
