K'Tael gathered together his note PADD and made his way over to Admiral
Smallwood. "Sir, I was wondering if I could have a few minutes of your time
at some point when you have an opening in your schedule."
Small watched t'Llhweiir depart before answering.
"How about now, Commander?" Smallwood's tone let K'Tael know that he too
wanted a moment of the Commander's time.
It did not take a Vulcan's sense of hearing to get the full message out of
the Smallwood's question. He was not happy. It was time for K'Tael to face
the music. "If it is acceptable for you."
"Let's do it. What did you want to talk about?"
"I was wondering if we could talk about the Brotherhood situation,
particularly in relation to my investigation and what happened on our return
to Spacedock."
"Proceed, Commander." By using rank it was clear that Smallwood was not going
to make it easy on the Commander.
