>"Any idea who she is??"

>She shook her head.  "No ID as far as I can tell.  Vulcanoid female,

Lorin hmmm'ed, "This is a difficult one. Reason being--why was she put in
stasis and will we put the station in danger if we awaken her?"

(response)

"Can I use your terminal for a moment please?"

(assume yes)

He ran a search for basic info on the race.

The Jacobsen under the command of Captain Benjamin Leekes was the first ship to make contact. Captain Benjamin Leekes did a preliminary study of the culture and believed that they had warp capabilities. Captain Donovan Pierce of the USS James Cook was assigned to confirm Leekes' report and, if his report is correct, make first contact with the culture.
The report filed by Leekes filled the screen:
The culture is based out of Letros IV, but seems to have colony settlements on Letros III and Letros VI.  All three planets are class M and are strikingly similar to the environmental variation of Earth.  There is very little information on the culture itself except that they may have had a nuclear war within the last 100 years.  Letros V appears to have been devastated by some cataclysm which has left a great deal of radiation in its wake.  Leekes and his crew judged that the culture did have early warp technology based primarily on the distance between the colony worlds themselves.
The Letrosian are humanoid, with Vulcanoid appearances.  The females appear to have wings similar to the mythological Faeries of Earth.  It is unknown whether these wings allow for flight.  The males do not have wings.
The crew of the Cook did make contact with the Letrosians, but were quickly drawn into a civil war that was based largely on the enslavement of the males of the population.  The rebellion was led by the Lady Karina, a granddaugter to the Emrpess.  Pierce was able to resolve his involvement, but the Letrosians closed their borders to outsiders after the incident, though, the Lady Karina did stay with the Cook.
