>Lorin hmmm'ed, "This is a difficult one. Reason being--why was she put
in
>stasis and will we put the station in danger if we awaken her?" >"That's why I asked you to come down. The cryo-unit seems to be a fairly >standard one, but it isn't one I've actually seen before. So I can't tell >if it's keeping something quarantined. We don't know anything about her >history or how long she's been in there. Is she a plague patient being sent >for medical help? Is she a slave? A criminal? Some kind of danger? If I >take her out of stasis I may be opening Pandora's Box." >"Can I use your terminal for a moment please?" >"We can't risk Spacedock. If she's stable then we can wait. I'll see if >we can find any current government representatives for the race and >contact them. Actually...hang on." (followed up on after report on the Letrosians came in) (OOC: Hi, Pete. I think I did a very bad thing. In my attempt
to give you what you asked for, I forgot to give you one really important piece
of information. The Cook mission is an old game that I used to run a few
years back. It was set about 5 years after the disappearance of Captain
James Kirk from the Enterprise B. The Cook is most likely not in service
any more since that is something like 90 years ago. There is always the
possibility of some of the crew being alive, though. I am sorry I forgot
to include that. I know that it will mean having to rewrite the
following.)
He opened up a secure comm channel, "Spacedock to the USS James Cook. Admiral Renaud to speak with Captain Donovan Pierce please." (response-assume he is there? Will rewrite if not) "Captain Pierce thank you for your time. It is my understanding you have had contact with the Letrosians?" (response) "In a recent rescue mission we recovered a stasis unit with what appears to be a female Letrosian but have not opened it due to the unknown status of the occupant." AJ
