some reason, I did not noticed that you had already placed Joanna in a
chair. I must have read over your post too quickly before responding)
The Counselor stood near the door. She had followed Stark into the room,
but she was willing to wait to be introducted to the Admiral once again
before becoming the center of attention.
Dieter Van Der Loo's eyes glanced up at their entrance, though he did not
adjust the angle of his head. He was surprised to see that Stark had
brought company with them. After eying them for a moment, he tossed the
PADD in his hand onto the table. "I am pleased to hear that Admiral Jackson
is comfortable enough to order people into one of my meetings."
David ignored the response and nodded to Counselor Kirk to come in and sit.
He waited for the briefing to begin.
Joanna was pretty impressed. She knew that this would be tough for David.
She had wanted to suggest that she go alone, but had reconsidered that when
she realized that it would be good for him to face this challenge. It would
definitely help the healing process.
Van Der Loo leaned back in his chair and placed his arms on the rests. "Please come in and make yourself comfortable, Counselor ... Kirk, I believe it."
(Joanna?)
Once she was settled in, Van Der Loo tunred his attention to the two gentelmen who had recently arrived. "If I had known that this was going to be a larger group, I would have cleared off my briefing table. I hope that it is all right that we sit around my desk instead."

"Perhaps you would like to begin, Colonel. What new information do you have for me in regards to the political situation below?"
Stark nodded. "Overall, there is not much change. Hostilities are still running quite high between the two factions. There has only been one major battle since my previous briefing," said Stark, who quickly added, " which took place last week." He wanted to make sure that Kirk and Boulay were able to understand the details. "There were about 300 people killed and 700 injured between both sides. Once again Federation peacekeepers were not able to prevent the action."
