On board the USS Hartford en route to Cait, Lastier and Kitanya continued their conversation. They talked strategy in dealing with the Felinids. They talked about the felinid Care Takers. They talked about who should take over day charge of Special Operations. They talked about their friend that they would miss, M'Rrenn. This went on until the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't until then that Lasiter and Kit parted ways for some much needed sleep.
Before Samuel was to meet up with Kitanya to head to the planet, and to the services for M'Rrenn, the CinC sent a message to t'Llhweiir. She was to make Kitanya's Chief of Staff, Capt.
