Matt shook his head to clear it and wished the fancy colorful fish would stop
swimming in his vision. He had the hilt of his sword out, but it was still
deactivated, so it just looked like a wooden stick in his hand. He followed
Carrhae to the man he assumed was Garibaldi. "Shame what happened to your
wheels," he said, though even to him, his voice sounded very far away.

"Hey... I'm ok. Shaken, not stirred. I'd kill for a hand full of aspirin and a
martini right now.", Garibaldi said rubbing one of his temples. Then looking in
the direction of his Ferrari, "What a waste. It is probably totaled. Oh well,
good thing I know a girl. How about you two?"

Carrhae nodded and instantly regretted the move as her head began to pound.
She grimaced, then she squinted her eyes in a effort to get some relief. She
looked at Matthew and saw that he, too, seemed a little shaken. "I am surprised
that they did not press their advantage," she said.

 "Perhaps
they were prepared for two, not three. Or perhaps they were supposed to watch
and not act. At least not yet...", Marcus proposed.
tivity:

"Have you seen our friends before?" she asked Garibaldi.

"Never seen them before. Strange that true Ramesar would be following you two.
I didn't get the impression that the Ramesar military took an interest in the
business of others. They had always had their attention evenly divided on the
Usurpers and moving them out of the Ramesar Homeworlds and the Venasians, who
had provided the weapons of the Ramesar genocide. Any idea why they would care
about something else?"
