I have a question about a manually compiled and packaged checkout of
spacewalk. I am running spacewalk from a git checkout from last week. I've
been able create channels for x86_64 and i386 and have successfully
introduced a RHEL5 x86_64 client machine and fully updated that system.

While running "yum -y update" on the client machine, the time downloading
packages was very slow compared to my other experiences with Red Hat
Satellite installations which ran on very modest hardware. I noticed that
apache on my spacewalk server was consuming a lot of memory and the error
log was full of messages like the following:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] httpd]# tail -5 error_log

Is this a known issue? The server is RHEL5 x86_64 with latest patches. Java
is OpenJDK 1.6.0_0-b11 64bit. Oracle is provided by oracle-xe. The spacewalk
packages are installed:
