Hmm, I hadn't considered that...

In my case I definately want the contents, if it is not a directory or a binary 
file...

Two questions:

1) Does it make sense to dump out the contents of a binary file ?
2) While the documentation said we give out the contents I wonder if we
are better off with a separate getContents method... These files can be
fairly large and if all we want are meta data info it might be a waste
of time...
