(Assuming that when you say development environment you mean a spacewalk
dev environment)

You'd really only need maybe an additional 1 or 2 gigs for a dev install
versus a regular install.  (For the git checkout)  Maybe give it an
extra 5 or so just to be safe.   That's really the only difference size
wise of the regular install vs. dev install.
