Hey all.

Could anyone please comment on the status of the PostgreSQL support in
Spacewalk?
I heard that Devan has been pulled from the project so I'm wondering if
there
is anyone at all working on this?

I can't put into words how much I want to see an alternative to Oracle.
I've even put together a little happy dance, should I ever see the day. :o)

All jokes aside, have more developers been pulled from the Spacewalk
project?
I'm just worried that Red Hat might be pouring resources into virtualization
at the cost of other projects like Spacewalk.

Keep up the good work! Spacewalk is awesome!
Many thanks.

I too would like to know this. I'm current;y running off of oracle-xe
but would much rather have to not concern myself I might hit the
limits it involves. When I started implementation a couple of months
ago postgreSQL support was estimate at around April and the 1.0
milestone on the roadmap had it as a key point. Now the roadmap is
listed as 1.2 maybe.....

Actually I had a question about this. I'm new to Red Hat and have had some previous experience with porting pl/sql to pg/sql. I grabbed a copy of the source but I'm not quite sure where to start :X

For example this link (https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/PathToPostgreSql) outlines what stored procedures need to be converted, but looking at the source i can't seem to find references to those mentioned.

I apologize in advance since this would be my first foray into contributing to an open source project.
