Hey all Transifexians out there,

We're preparing for the release of the 1.2 version of Transifex codenamed
'Mystique', which ships as usual with an amazing set of features. Some of these
features are already live in our public instance of Transifex,
www.transifex.net, and some are entirely new which will appear in our public
instance during the next weeks; so you'll get to have a sneak preview!

Today marks the release of the Alpha version of Transifex-1.2, which means that
all new features are there, waiting to be tried out and evaluated. We have
scheduled one or two weeks to do testing and bug fixing until the final stable
1.2 release arrives, so stay tuned for that.

An overall view of the new features for this release is:

- New file formats: .desktop, dtd, mozilla .properties, .strings, .wiki, xliff.
*------^^^^^*
- Glossary.
- Pseudo-file format.
- Review/proofread translations.
- Webhooks: HTTP callbacks for automatic notification of events.
- User authentication through 3rd-party services (twitter, facebook, google
  accounts, linkedin).
- Better tag-assignment for projects.
- Resource categories.
- Django-1.3 compatibility.
- Rewrite of the core source file parser.
- Speed improvements, especially on Lotte.
- Replaced django-userprofile backend with django-userena.

A more detailed review of these features will be included shortly in our release
notes, which will be available in http://help.transifex.net/.
