Also make sure you have rhel-instnum installed since it's CentOS and that you've applied the Oracle bugfixes from the OracleXeSetup wiki page. The wiki also recommends that you have the JDBC and devel packages installed (oracle-instantclient-jdbc oracle-instantclient-devel) but I'm not sure if they're strictly necessary. Might be worth trying, though.

I just installed a system with Centos 5.2 x86_64 to test out Spacewalk. After following all the directions in the spacewalk wiki I've gotten as far as running "spacewalk-setup --disconnected". At that point the command just seems to hang and memory usage on the box starts to climb. The last time I just let it run and about an hour later it had exhausted 8 gig of memory and 32 gig of swap and the setup script died. During all that the load average on the system gets to about 4 and at times as high as 12. The oracle install seems to be ok. I can login via the web interface and it works. Running tnsping and sqlplus on the command line both work as expected. I need some ideas on what might be misconfigured or missing packages. If anyone has ideas I'd appreciate a pointer in the right direction.
