mount_point exists inconfig:
# grep mount_point /etc/rhn/rhn.conf
mount_point = /var/satellite
kickstart_mount_point = /var/satellite
/var/satellite exists too:
# df -H|grep sat

(i'm using xen and external LVM volume for satellite)
# ls -la /var/satellite/

hmm is this on spacewalk 0.4? I just tried the same and am able to push
fine to a channel on my spacewalk server ..

So seems to work as expected on my server. Hence suspecting this might
be due to some missing config.
Can you bump the debug value in /etc/rhn/default/rhn_server.conf and
tail /var/log/rhn/rhn_server_app.log and paste me the log info at the
time the command is run.
