When I start the ping, I see the following on the server: /var/log/rhn/osa-dispatcher.log: 2009/10/20 11:51:27 +02:00 12514 0.0.0.0: rhnSQL/driver_cx_Oracle.connect('Connecting to database', 'xe') 2009/10/20 11:51:27 +02:00 12514 0.0.0.0: osad/jabber_lib.__init__ 2009/10/20 11:55:05 +02:00 12514 0.0.0.0: osad/jabber_lib.print_message('socket error',) 2009/10/20 11:55:05 +02:00 12514 0.0.0.0: osad/jabber_lib.print_message('Could not connect to jabber server', 'devmx01.buro.info.nl') 2009/10/20 11:55:05 +02:00 12514 0.0.0.0: osad/jabber_lib.setup_connection('Could not connect to any jabber server',) 2009/10/20 11:55:05 +02:00 12514 0.0.0.0: osad/jabber_lib.main('Unable to connect to jabber servers, sleeping 10 seconds',) But nothing in the verbose osad client.. I suspect it has everyhting to do that osa-dispatcher and jabber are not working correctly. But I want to find out WHY osa-dispatcher isn't correctly connecting to my jabber service. How can I check that? > > If osad is not running for whatever reason the clients will still wait > until rhnsd checks in and then if there are pending actions rhn_check > is invoked.
