I had a similar problem with rhel5.4 packages that had been rhn_pushed from a mounted iso. Turned out the iso failed the md5checksum ... when I downloaded a new one - it worked just fine.

I'm having some issues upgrading packages or installing errata on my RHEL4 servers. When I attempt to run a package or errata installation I get an error from up2date saying files are missing. Here are some examples. [Tue Dec 8 10:25:28 2009] up2date A protocol error occurred: Not Found , attempt #1, Tue Dec 8 10:25:28 2009] up2date File Not Found: GConf2-2.8.1-2.el4.i386 Error Message: Package not found Error Class Code: 17 Error Class Info: File not found. Explanation: An error has occurred while processing your request. If this problem persists please enter a bug report at bugzilla.redhat.com. If you choose to submit the bug report, please be sure to include details of what you were trying to do when this error occurred and details on how to reproduce this problem. So, I went and found GConf2-2.8.1-2.el4.i386 and installed it. Next error was this: up2date File Not Found: File Not Found: NetworkManager-0.3.1-5.el4.i386 Anyone have any ideas where these dependencies are coming from? I've even attempted to install single packages that shouldn't have any dependencies. Thanks a lot. -Rob _______________________________________________ Spacewalk-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/spacewalk-list _______________________________________________ Spacewalk-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/spacewalk-list
