Hello,

rhnsd simply runs rhn_check at the defined interval, which is, as previously mentioned, set to a default of 4 hours. To make sure rhnsd is working, you could strace it:

# strace -f -p $(pidof rhnsd)

or you could run rhn_check by hand with high verbosity:

# rhn_check -vvvvvvvvv

On the server side, you can look in /var/log/rhn/* for errors that the above command may cause.
