Ok , I've got it . I found that it can be adjustable in the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/rhnsd .
Can you explain why two versions of rhnsd coexist on a client - I assume the original from the RH and the second one ( more updated ) from spacewalk project . #rpm -qf /etc/init.d/rhnsd rhnsd-4.6.1-1.el5 rhnsd-4.9.7-1.el5 Thanks , Best regards , Vladimir Berezovski NDS IL , Unix group Email: [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jan Pazdziora Sent: Monday, February 07, 2011 1:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Spacewalk-list] Execution tasks problem On Mon, Feb 07, 2011 at 01:04:26PM +0200, Berezovski, Vladimir wrote: > > Hi , > > All clients tasks are in pending mode and can be executed only when > rhn_check is being launched on a client directly ? > > Is implementing the OSAD service would be a solution ? Tasks are picked up by rhn_check, which can either be run manually, or from rhnsd (which starts it about every four hours by default), or from osad. So yes, osad will cause your tasks to be picked up faster. -- Jan Pazdziora Principal Software Engineer, Satellite Engineering, Red Hat _______________________________________________ Spacewalk-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/spacewalk-list This message is confidential and intended only for the addressee.
