As a follow-up it appears that there is something wrong with package duplication within the same OU. I created a new OU with a new channel and I was able to push a rpm from one of my other OU's channel and the push worked. I tried to push the same package to a different channel but within the same OU and it failed. See messages below
I downloaded the rpm right from the spacewalk server and then ran a rhnpush to the new OU/channel # rhnpush -v --username=d******* --password=******* --channel=dup_chan --server=tsswkl01devv.fmrco.com ./FIMTdrilltest-2010-05.noarch.rpm Connecting to http://tsswkl01devv.fmrco.com/APP Package ./FIMTdrilltest-2010-05.noarch.rpm Not Found on RHN Server -- Uploading Uploading package ./FIMTdrilltest-2010-05.noarch.rpm Using POST request When I try to push to and different channel on the same OU it fails. root@tsswkl01devv /var/tmp # rhnpush -vvv --username=###### --password=######## --channel=fimt-rhel4-pkgs-i386-r092010 --server=tsswkl01devv.fmrco.com ./FIMTdrilltest-2010-05.noarch.rpm Connecting to http://tsswkl01devv.fmrco.com/APP url is http://tsswkl01devv.fmrco.com/PACKAGE-PUSH Result codes: 200 OK Computing checksum and package info. I have a number of noarch rpm's that I include in a number of different child channels. The satellite-sync will not add a rpm to a channel if the same rpm name has been used in another channel. I am running spacewalk 1.2 on a RHEL5-64 server 2.6.18-194.8.1.el5. Is this expected behavior.
