I don't know of a native NIS option, but it does support PAM authentication.
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.4/html/Installation_Guide/s1-maintenance-pam-auth.html So if you can leverage PAM to authenticate users, then Spacewalk can leverage PAM to authenticate against NIS. (I only use PAM to auth vs. LDAP. YMMV) ---- Jeff Moody Senior Systems Engineer EVS Corporation 5050 Poplar Avenue ,Suite 1600 Memphis, Tennessee 38157 (901) 259-2387 - 24x7 Helpdesk (901) 213-5146 - Office (901) 466-6709 - Cell [email protected] http://www.evscorporation.com -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Contant, Olivier Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2011 2:50 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Spacewalk-list] NIS authentication support?
