Hi Jan,

Whatever mentioned in the WIKI is not working properly (That's what I experinced). I installed both servers with Oracle & PostgreSQL. First I preferred your WIKI & did exactly what you mentioned step by step but some packages were missing then I refer CentOS wiki also & I got it installed. Jpackage repo mentioned in the documentation also got "times out" & sometimes I got "no other mirrors to try" so I referred http://www.jpackage.org/jpackage.repo

I have explained what I exprienced TWICE. I just shooted a command "yum install spacewalk-oracle" / yum install spacewalk-postgresql & then .......................

Rest You & Spacewalk still rocks!!!

Cheers,

Thanks,
Kanwar Ajit

I also faced the same issues of missing RPMs whatever described in
Spacewalk Wiki. I had to manually add some jpackage repos
(http://www.jpackage.org/jpackage.repo) on my own& also refered to
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/PackageManagement/Spacewalk in which I
found many missing RPMs in EPEL repo.
This is all described on the

        https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToInstall

page, isn't it? Both the jpackage and EPEL (and Red Hat High
Availability Server 6 and Red Hat Optional Server 6 for RHEL 6)
requirement.

One Major thing (mentioned below) that bugged me while installations
of 2 Spacewalk servers. For this I had to follow the following link
to get rid from this error

http://plone.lucidsolutions.co.nz/linux/centos/jpackage-jpackage-utils-compatibility-for-centos-5.x

If posiible, kindly review your all documentations.
What (yum, rpm) operations were you attempting to do exactly when you
got this error?

The /usr/bin/rebuild-security-providers is provided by the
jpackage-utils package

        # rpm -qf /usr/bin/rebuild-security-providers
        jpackage-utils-1.7.3-1jpp.2.el5

and it comes from the jpackage repo, just like the
java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-1.4.2.0-40jpp.115.
