I apologize ahead of time if this has already been mentioned. I am
looking for a way to produce a report that shows packages that need to

any assistance would be great. Thanks!

Hello Shawn,
if you are running Spacewalk 1.9 you can install package
spacewalk-reports and use one of these reports:
packages-updates-all - this one shows all available updates
packages-updates-newest - this one is probably the one you want
However i strongly recommend using nightly version of spacewalk-reports
packages as there is fixed one performance issue for this two reports.
This can be found
http://yum.spacewalkproject.org/nightly/$os/$os_version/$arch/spacewalk-reports-1.10.11-1.fc18.noarch.rpm
or you can manually apply patch to these two reports from git commit
