Yes there may be an issue in anaconda but I just checked another RHEL 6.3
which was not provisioned using spacewalk. It shows that root is in all
default groups

[root@mail ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.3 (Santiago)
[root@mail ~]# groups root
root : root bin daemon sys adm disk wheel
