I mirror the client repos into a channel on my spacewalk server and do the install on my client boxes via the spacewalk channel. This way all I rave to do is re-point the repository for the channel to sync to the new repo, sync it and run a yum update on the client host.

Hi,

after successfully upgrading our spacewalk 1.9 to 2.0 setup, I noticed,
that still the 1.7 path is configured for the spacewalk client repository.

My question:

- do I have to update the client repository rpm on the managed servers?

- Can I change the URL in the "Repository Details" under Channels ->
Manage Software Channels -> Manage Repositories ?

Thanks for any hint and suggestion . Regards . Götz
