Hi Sean, AFAIK Oracle Linux 5 uses 'up2date' to update packages from their Unbreakable Linux Network (it's the old way originaly used in RHEL4). While RHEL5 and other clones (incl. Centos and Scientific Linux) uses 'yum'. And these two packages conflicts with each other.
