Hello,

it looks like this problem sits somewhere between the client when submitting installed packages and the server when inserting the received package list into the database.

All packages with epoch set have no associated package_id in rhnServerPackage, but there are also a few that have no epoch and are also missing their package_id.

The missing package_id is the reason why the packages are listed as "Extra Packages" and why they are not included in the update-checks.

Still hoping I'll find out what's the problem here.

Best regards
Philipp

Hello,

we're trying to use Spacewalk to manage our Ubuntu-based servers.
Everything is fine and works as expected, except one thing:

When a package has a version that contains an epoch, Spacewalk lists
that package under "Extra Packages" and it is impossible to rollout
updates for it.

Has anyone had the same problem and maybe a solution that won't require
me to recompile the whole thing?

Both problems mentioned (extra packages & not able to install update) are
bugs in Spacewalk worth filing a report. Unfortunately, I don't see any
immediate solution to this problem.
