Actually what you suggest would be an administratively better solution.
Yet we do not have access to the physical hosts (and consequently the
KVM configurations) serving our VMs and our cloud provider could not
support such a configuration change at the moment and planned it for
next releases but without any specific due dates!
Hopefully, this patch will be in base code in the future releases of
spacewalk :)
