Hi peoples,

I noticed something odd recently while trying to update tzdata before the EST
DST switch on Sunday.

The latest package shown on the relevant channels is tzdata-2014a-1, however
when I scheduled this to be upgraded on the servers I got a failure on every
system with the message:

Error while executing packages action: empty transaction [[6]]

So I jumped onto a server and did a yum list tzdata and the only package that
came back was the previous version tzdata-2013i-2

It looks like the servers cannot see the tzdata-2014a-1 package even though it
is in the repository. I can download it and see all the info on it.

Luckily the only change in this version was to Turkey's timezone so is not an
issue really but it is more that I want to understand why it could not see the
package and I am concerned that I will have this issue with other packages.

Anyone got any ideas why this might happen?

Cheers

Andy
