It appears that I have checked all the child channels I have, including update,
spacewalk client and epel (all are hosted locally). Once I uncheck them and
the base installation goes fine.
Is this the expected behavior? I don't mind run update after system is
kickstarted.
thanks

Dear List,
I'm running Spacewalk 2.1 on CentOS65. I'm sorting things out and make
cobbler/kickstart works. When I try to kickstart a system with CentOS 6.5, I
get "A fatal error occurred when installing the dbus package."
Upon getting this message, I can see that dhcpd (in debug mode) keeps getting
dhcp request from the same mac on the system I'm trying to build. I also
checked the RPM on the system. It is good and the permission is the same as
other packages. httpd log shows that pxeboot got the dbus package and then
just a bunch of POST for cobbler_api

"POST /cobbler_api HTTP/1.1" 200 143 "-" "Java/1.7.0_55"
I also booted the system with ISO in rescue mode to check /root/install.log.
The last line is "Installing dbus-1.2.24-7.el6_3.x86_64
Any suggestion whatelse should I look into?
Thanks in advance,
Will
