I just installed Spacewalk 2.1 on CentOS 6 x86_64 also.

While I have seen various jobs to download errata information, the system seems to be doing it one its own.    I do not get a “Spacewalk Daily Status Report” on a daily basis, which kind of bugs me.

I think the default method of handling errata in Spacewalk 2.1, is that it will not send out a new report unless the errata appears AFTER you have installed and configured your Spacewalk and Clients.

I've performed a fresh Speacewalk installation and i've applied the errata script only after the clients registration.
In fact i've suddenly received all the mail errata relevant to my systems, so i think that your assumption is correct.

Also the spacewalk-report –info works fine, but when you try to give it a specific report from the list I get nothing.

However you should get data for these commands:

spacewalk-report errata-systems
or
spacewalk-report errata-list (only errata affecting your registered clients)
or
spacewalk-report errata-list-all (all the errata that Spacewalk knows about in your repositories)

I had misread the manual, in fact it's normal for spacewalk-report --info command "When used with report name specified, print synopsis and description for the report, instead of running the report".
Other report commands work perfectly for me, instead.

Let me know if those commands work better and if you know how to schedule a “Spacewalk Daily Status Report”
I’ve only received one of them and I would like to get daily updates on status, even if nothing has changed in SpaceWalk.

I didn't nothing other than check the voice "Receive email notifications" at page:

https://your-server-name/rhn/account/UserPreferences.do

I'm still receiving daily notification about my registered systems. The only activity i've scheduled (and completed) was the deploying of two config files.
The content of this daily report is:

                                                                                                                              Queued  Completed
Show differences between profiled config files and deployed config files          2            2

Cheers!
