That did the trick, thanks Jeffrey. This is for a CentOS 6 spacewalk server.

I am assuming you are running spacewalk on centos 6. Install the 'pyliblzma'
package from EPEL6 onto a CentOS 6 system in order to read the XZ compression
repodata EPEL7 uses.

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] CentOS 7 Epel repo not syncing on spacewalk 2.2

I created a CentOS7 distro and channels using the spacewalk-common utilities.
Since then it has not been able to sync packages for the Epel 7 channel. Below
is the output I get.

#### Channel label: epel7-centos7-x86_64 #### Repo URL:
http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=epel-7&arch=x86_64
ERROR: xz compression not available
Sync completed.
Total time: 0:00:07

Thanks,
