Marco, if taskomatic starts and die.. check your httpd.conf file. do a ":set
number" and go to line number "136" your "Listen line". Ensure that it reflex
nothing more than "Listen 80". Good luck

Hi there,

Still no luck with taskomatic… if anyone has more suggestions, I would
appreciate it.

Thank you for your help, my best regards.

Hello Slava,

I have upgraded yes, and followed everything in the wiki.
Also, the keys are different, I have checked with a backup of the rhn.conf
file, which I manually backed up before the upgrade.

Hello Marco,
If you did upgrade check this

https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToUpgrade

Also do diff in /etc/rhn directory for rhn.conf might be got wrong parameters
bellow. It should contain new keys not what you had before.

web.session_swap_secret_1 =
web.session_swap_secret_2 =
web.session_swap_secret_3 =
web.session_swap_secret_4 =

session_secret_1 =
session_secret_2 =
session_secret_3 =
session_secret_4 =

server.secret_key =

Slava.

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] Taskomatic fails

Hi there,

My Taskomatic service in spacewalk (version 2.2) is not starting, and I dont
know what else to do.

I have enabled DEBUG in the logs, and when I manually start the service, the
logs show that the services get launhed 5 times, but then it finally quits.
I have no clue what is causing this behaviour, but at some point, I could see
this in the log:

“INFO com.redhat.rhn.taskomatic.core.TaskomaticDaemon - Tomcat is not up yet,
sleeping 4 seconds” (which goes on forever, after messing with timeout times).

I have checked if I have any VirtualHost configuration extra, which I dont
have; I have also increased the java heap size for the wrapper, still no
sucess.

Without taskomatic, I am not getting any new packages, or synced channels with
external repositories (since it does not generate the xml).

Can you help me?
