I have a spacewalk client sub channel for each distro and tell the kickstarts to include the spacewalk client channel during the install. This method prevents the issue you have been having.

Either that, or ensure the OL6 box is also subscribed to a locally synced Spacewalk client channel, so that the newer Spacewalk RPMs will take priority over the default RPMs provided with OL6.
