Maybe this will be helpful, here is the Spacewalk documentation on how
to setup kickstart distributions / profiles:
https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToKickstartCobbler
It's a little dated, the examples are referencing Fedora 9, but I don't
think anything has changed.

Did you ever get anywhere with this? I’m trying to setup kickstart for

I chose suse as the distro. I read a guide and I think I need to do it
manually, using cobbler. I'm still a bit vague on how it works though.
Here's the link to the guide:
http://fluxcoil.net/doku.php/cobbler/sles
Upon following the guide I have an active kicstart profile created (but
of course it can't be managed by spacewalk).
Thanks.

What options are set in the dirsto :)? It could be that you have
Installer Generationset to something other then suse?

Suggests also that you cannot wizard the creation of them, you need
to upload an autoyast (wassat?), so it could be that, not familiar
with suse though im afraid

That's what I've been trying to do.
Oh my, just had a chat with my colleague. I'm not
familiar with Red Hat and I rarely play with CentOS, so
I didn't know that Kickstart is actually a feature to
automate installation in Red Hat. No wonder it failed
since I'm trying to create a kickstart for suse
*facepalm*. I supposed I need to look into autoyast instead?
Thanks for the help,

Well there's a green 'tick' under the 'Valid?*'
column, so I guess the it's alright. Plus the

Hi,
Recently I installed Spacewalk on a
virtual CentOS 6.5. The installation
went smooth. I followed the following
guides to setup software channels,
distribution and kickstart:
http://www.sysadminwiki.net/site/doku.php/services/spacewalk/server_configuration
http://www.sysadminwiki.net/site/doku.php/services/spacewalk/distribution_configuration
I failed to create a kickstart profile
due to not having a Kickstartable
channels and Kickstartable tree. I have
created a Kickstartable distributions
and it was successful. I do have a valid
base channel as well as tree path. I'm
stumped.
What did I miss? Please advise.
Thanks.
