Hi

Following advice I received on the list here is what I did to fix the Spacewalk 2.1 expiring cert issue:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/spacewalkproject/spacewalk/master/branding/setup/spacewalk-public.cert mv /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert.orig
cp spacewalk-public.cert /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/
rhn-satellite-activate --disconnected --rhn-cert=/usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert

Job was a good one on my as mentioned SPW 2.1 install on Centos 6

That did not work for me. (Running v2.1) and my server just alerted me
"today" as well.

[root@spacewalk02 setup]# rhn-satellite-activate --rhn-cert
/usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert --disconnected

ERROR: RHN Certificate appears to have expired: 2015-07-13
[root@spacewalk02 setup]#

I only had to run the command:

rhn-satellite-activate --rhn-cert
/usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert --disconnected

I was following this
https://www.redhat.com/archives/spacewalk-list/2010-July/msg00042.html

but it just points to the same cert.

Is there another way to get a new satellite certificate?

Thanks,
Nicki
