I am in sort of a catch-22 in regards to our Spacewalk clients. We setup a Spacewalk server in order to deploy OS updates to CentOS clients specifically because the clients don't have internet access by default. However, we can't register our clients to the new Spacewalk server because they require the Spacewalk Client Tools to be installed first, which in turn requires internet access.
This is the step that I'm currently unable to do on my clients: # rpm -Uvh http://yum.spacewalkproject.org/2.3-client/RHEL/6/x86_64/spacewalk-client-repo-2.3-2.el6.noarch.rpm ...which is required in order to do this: # yum install rhn-client-tools rhn-check rhn-setup rhnsd m2crypto yum-rhn-plugin My thought was that I'd like to setup an internal repo of http://yum.spacewalkproject.org/ or better yet just http://yum.spacewalkproject.org/latest-client/RHEL/ (all of our clients are CentOS only) on our spacewalk server and then create/modify the repo file on the clients to point to the internal repo. I have Googled my heart out in regards to reposync/createrepo, but I haven't been able to sort it out yet. I'd like some guidance in terms of (1) creating and syncing the repo on my spacewalk server and (2) how to create the repo file on the clients to be able to do the "yum install rhn-client-tools rhn-check rhn-setup rhnsd m2crypto yum-rhn-plugin" and have it be smart enough to grab the files from the right RHEL version and arch.
