Hi, we have a spacewalk system up and running fine since 2.0. Now I have the time to integrate the centos7 repos, add diskspace etc etc.
It is spacewalk 2.3 on a centos 6.7 server.
Diving trough the configurations of the old channels (centos 5/6) I'v
seen that the spacewalk client channels still point to the 2.0
directories and the GPG key is from 2012.
Furthermore I noticed, that most of our servers look updated form what I
see in the system overview, but If I run a local yum update, I get a lot
of packages.
On the other hand it looks like the local yum tries to pull the packages
from external mirrors and not form our local spacewalkserver.
Long story short; I'm a bit confused.
a) After updating the spacewalk server, I do have to update the client
repositories and GPG Keys to the corresponding version?
b) why is the system overview fine, and a local yum update not?
c) why is a local yum update not pulling the updates from my spycewalk
server but from the official mirrors?
Thanks for hints and suggestions tu clear things up!
Regards . Götz
