I am able to reschedule the package installation manually. When I perform rhn_check on the Client afterwards, the package installs as intended. So the principle "getting the package from spacewalk" works perfectly.

The packages are in the channels the client subscribes, and also added under the "packages" tab of the activation key.
I am still looking for logging opportunities because if the servers says the action failed, the attempt of isntallation must be logged somewhere...
 
Any other suggestions?
