Each patch channel is only maintained until the release of the next patch 
channel. So, ol6_u6_x86_64_patch stopped being updated when OL6U7 was released. 
At that point, the ol6_u7_x86_64_patch channel becomes the active one.

I usually advise a combination of base/patch for each update release and 
migrate your servers from ol6u6_base+patch to ol6u7_base+patch.
